Suspension of Activities.

Given the serious coronavirus pandemic SeniorNet Hutt City Inc. has decided to suspend our activities. Many of our members, tutors and committee members fall into the high "at risk" category, and we feel that placing these people in possible danger is unwarranted .

Our activities such as in office learning and help sessions, visits to aged care facilities and social activities such as Library visits are suspended until 27 April 2020. The office is shut and will not be staffed.

27 April 2020

The Government has lowered the alert level to 3. This is still restrictive and it is not yet appropriate for us to restart our activities. We will stay in Alert Level 3 for two weeks, before Cabinet reviews how we are tracking and makes further decisions on 11 May.

Prior to the foregoing date we will review the situation to see if resumption is safe. If we deem it still unsafe the suspension will be extended.

In the meantime we urge all our members and prior members to follow the guidelines in our last newsletter to keep themselves safe.
