To enable students to become familiar with the various programs by which files such as documents, pictures and music can be copied (burned) on to CDs.
The course shows, in Lesson 1, how to burn document – and picture – type files on to a CD.
Lesson 2 uses Windows Media Player to create your own playlists from existing music CDs and to burn them on to a CD. This lesson also covers the subject of music copyright.
Lesson 3 uses Nero Express to create combined music and data CDs.
The course is run, at different times, on computers using XP, Vista or Windows 7. You should ensure that the particular course that you are applying for is based on the same Operating System as your home computer.
Basic skills are required for this course such as the use of the keyboard and the mouse. Familiarity with desktop shortcut icons is necessary as well as how to use them to launch an application. Ability to use the Save and Save As procedures is required.
