Objectives


To learn about the many ways crooks aim to steal from you, or use your computer in their criminal activities.

Description

Explore the many ways the crooks operate, and look at the techniques and software that can help to keep you safer. The information is in the form of an interactive website that will run on your computer. Workshop attendees are to bring a USB drive with them, with 1 GB of free space for the workshop handout. This workshop is designed to provide information to people of all skill levels and all operating systems. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions.

Prerequisites

Basic computer skills are required, including how to use a USB drive and navigate a website.

Duration

One session of 2 hours.
